RSC Co-Artistic Directors Daniel Evans and Tamara Harvey have announced the autumn/winter 2024/25 productions at the RSC.  Three big Shakespeare productions:

Othello     11 Oct - 23 Nov

Hamlet     8 Feb - 29 Mar

The Xmas family production is a new staging of

The Red Shoes     7 Nov - 19 Jan

Finally, by Shakespeare contemporary Christopher Marlowe

Edward II     21 Feb - 5 Apr

and a new play by David Edgar

The New Real     3 Oct - 2 Nov

Throughout the summer The Holloway Garden Theatre is returning to Stratford with an outdoor production of ‘As You Like It’.  Performances run from 18 July to 1 September.

Just opened in the main theatre is ‘The Merry Wives of Windsor’ with favourite Shakespeare character Falstaff at the centre, played wonderfully by John Hodgkinson.  It’s a lively, colourful production with lots of very funny moments as the ladies of the town plot against his amorous advances.

Also this summer, the RSC presents a new play ‘Kyoto’ described as a political thriller and Sheridan’s 18th century classic comedy  ‘School for Scandal’ promising big wigs and even bigger laughs.

Two more Shakespeare plays feature later in the summer season - ‘an outdoor production of ‘As You Like It’ in the Swan Theatre gardens and the rarely performed ‘Pericles’ with Alfred Enoch in the lead role.

From The Guardian (13/6/2024) - 5 star review

With abounding silliness, this is a comedy so polished it gleams. A summer belter.
